Bandera Leon, a collaboration with Teresa Baker, CEO of the In Solidarity Project & Graphic Designer Alberto Lemus promoting diversity and inclusion in the outdoors. Representing communities of color in the outdoors industry.
‘I believe that a design that portrays cultural identity makes it more approachable for people who aren’t familiar with an industry. The target audience for these designs is all communities of color across the board with a focus in the Latin/Hispanic community. By seeing something that speaks to our cultural roots, I hope people feel represented in the industry’s media, therefore being more inclined to trying something new like skiing or snowboarding. Proceeds from these designs will go to United We Dream & The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights. Both of these organizations help our immigrant youth and focus on supporting and empowering them to make their voices heard’
